Toyota Rush Overview
The compact SUV segment in India has flourished over the last couple of years and more and more automakers are prepping to introduce their own entrants in the lucrative segment. Similarly, the Japanese automaker Toyota is planning to roll out the Rush compact crossover in the country that is slated to make its commercial debut sometime in late 2015.Toyota Rush Variants
The Toyota Rush crossover is already available on sale in other international markets and goes by the name Daihatsu Rush in some of the Asian markets. It is offered in both 5- and 7-seat configuration in both petrol and diesel engine options.
Toyota Rush Engine specifications
In the Indian market, Toyota might equip the Rush crossover with a 1.4-litre diesel engine that currently, serves the Corolla Altis and puts out 67PS of max power and 170Nm of peak torque.
Toyota Rush Commercial Debut
If and when, the Toyota Rush makes its commercial debut in India, the compact crossover will go up against the likes of Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster SUV, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV500 and the Tata Safari Storme.
